Q, What is a Smile Community?
A,Smile Community is where the residents can communicate and interact with each other. You can post on a variety of boards or exhibit their fashion.
*You can ask others to water/harvest your flower or to join your ongoing party
Q, What are the functions that residents at Level 14 or under can enjoy? A, Residents at Level 14 or under can choose and post a pre-filled message on the 'Please Water!', 'Please Collect Fruit!', 'Party in Progress♪' and 'Lookbook♡' boards.
For all other boards, Notice Board, and other people's My Feed, they can only like posts other residents have uploaded and look at the comments they left.
* In rare cases where a board opens due to a special event happening in Smile Town, it may become possible for residents at Level 14 or under to post and comment.
Q, How do I make submissions to the community? A, For text and photo submissions, the procedure is as follows.
◆Text Submissions
- Tap [Social] - [Community]
- Tap the box labeled ‘Enter Text♪’ and write your desired content, then choose where you would like your text to be posted.
- If you would like to post to every plaza, you should still select a category.
- Select the ‘Submit’ button on the upper right to complete the submission to the community.
*Residents below Level 15 are limited to 20 posts/comments combined per day.
* Please make sure that the content you have written is not harmful to others before submission.
* You can check community guidelines for restrictions (Link).
◆Photo Upload
To upload a photo, tap the camera button located at the bottom right of the screen to take a picture.
Once the photo is taken, a [Post to Community] button will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap it to proceed with uploading.
You can choose where to post your photo, but please note that “Community” only allows uploads in certain boards.
※ If you select “Public Gallery,” the photo will not be posted to the Smile Community.
After reviewing all settings, tap the [Post] button at the top right of the screen to complete your post to the community.

※ If you upload a photo taken during a party, residents who were not invited may join the party.
However, there is a limit to how many residents can join via community.
Q, What is the difference between Everyone's Plaza and My Feed?
A, Everyone's Plaza and My Feed differ as outlined below.
◆ Everyone's Plaza is a place where you can see each other's contributions in Smile Town, and anyone can freely submit content. There are diverse categories for an array of different topics, you can read and write content according to what you are interested in.
◆ My Feed is a place where you can only see your own posts. Submissions to Everyone’s Plaza are not visible in My Feed. When you post on My Feed, the notification is only displayed to your followers. Additionally, you can scroll down on the profile screen to see the contents of your My Feed.
Q, What are plaza categories?

A, Everyone's plaza is divided into categories where you can communicate with others based on your interests.

Q, Tell me about notifications.
A, Notifications within the Smile community can be turned [ON/OFF].
<You can check by going to the Menu Screen <Social> →<Community>→<Alarm>>
- If your notifications are on, you will receive notifications when other players leave comments and [Like]s on posts written on Everyone's Square or My Feed, when a follower posts on the Smile community, and when a comment is left on a post that you left a comment on.
Q, How do I turn notifications on/off
A, Go to the following to set notifications [Social] → [Community] →[ Notifications] → [Notification Settings].
- ‘Likes’ on posts
- Comments on posts
- Followed Neighbor’s comments (Everyone I follow/ ‘besties’ only/ OFF)
- Alarm Settings (Comments on posts I’ve commented on)
- 'N mark' display settings
Additionally, if you search by typing 'Nickname' or 'My Code' in the search box on the left side of "Notification Settings," you can check the notifications settings of individual players at a glance.
* If the notification function is not available, please check if the app is updated to its latest version.
Q, Can I delete posts and comments I made in the Smile community?
A, You can delete posts and comments only if you write them. To do so tap[…] in the upper right corner of the post or comment you want to delete then select [Delete].
* Deleted comments and posts cannot be recovered, so be sure before choosing to delete.
Q, Can I edit posts and comments I've made to the Smile Community?
A, No, you are unable to edit posts you have submitted to the Smile Community at this time.
* You cannot edit any of your posts or comments so please check content carefully before posting.
Q, How do I report inappropriate posts and comments?
A, If you find inappropriate posts or comments, please report them to the Hello Kitty Dream Village operation team by doing the following.
- For posts with inappropriate content, tap [...] located in the upper right corner of the post and select [!] In the (Only this post) pop-up, tap the [Report This Post] button. Choose a reason or write your own reasons for reporting the post. After reporting, you may block the user who posted the inappropriate content.
* You can only report the same content once.
* False reporting may result in consequences.
Q, How do I check 'Likes' and comments?
A, How to check 'Likes’ and comments are outlined below.
◆ Likes
You can check the number of 'likes' on posts submitted to the Smile community and the list of residents who 'like' your posts. Tap the [Like] button on the heart mark to indicate you 'Like' something. To check the list of players who ‘Like’ your post, tap the [Like ○] mark on the [Like] button.
◆ Comments
To check the comments in a post, tap [ Comments ○]. You can only check posts with one or more comments. Tap the [comment] button on the speech bubble mark to leave a comment.
Q, Why can't I post nor comment on a board?
A, Residents below Level 15 are limited to 20 posts/comments combined per day. Even if you delete a post/comment, the count does not restore.
*The count resets at 00:00 JST (Japanese Standard Time) every day. Once your level reaches 15, the limit will be lifted.
Q, What is the icon that is displayed next to an original poster?
A, The icon represents the original poster's current buddy.
*You can refer to it when visiting someone with a specific buddy for watering.
Q, What is the pin feature?
A,The pin feature allows a resident to fix one of their posts at the top of their My Feed. If you click "..." button at the top right corner of your post, you can select "Pin to My Feed".
*It is only available in your My Feed.
